In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it’s hard to make sure you get that quality time away. We have put together some of our favourite weekend escape plans so now you have no excuse not to find a little home-from-home sanctuary in which to relax, recharge and indulge in just a little luxury.
Set above Ullswater in The Lake District, the land that inspired the celebrated writings of Wordsworth, is High Barton. A beautifully designed little Bed and Breakfast commanding some of the most glorious views of the surrounding lake and fells, and whose owner is one of our own favourite customers (make sure to admire our Parisian Blue bed linen!). The Airbnb reviews truly speak for themselves on her welcoming hospitality and with just two rooms available make sure to book now for the spring in order to spend daffodil season in the Lakes.
Ever dreamt of casting away on your own private escape? There is nothing better than being entirely surrounded by nature and this floating cabin will provide you with just that element of Robinson Crusoe you are after, and just an hour and half from London. Wonderfully secluded, the lake is all yours to explore with a little rowing boat and life jackets provided, and it is known as a fantastic fishing spot, though if cooking your own is not quite your style then head over the sea wall to the village of Goldhanger, where the two local pubs The Cricketers and The Chequers serve wonderful Fish and Chips and Sunday roasts.
Tucked into the Cliffside of this little corner of Whitsand Bay in Cornwall, this little cottage has stunning views of the unspoiled beaches and dramatic seascape on its wrap around deck, complete with luxurious outdoor daybed. Settle down for some precious me-time with a glass of wine and let your mind wander while you watch the sun go down on the sparkling ocean.
