Dream Weavers | Financial Times Shoot

Posted by Agata Stadnik on

A few months ago we had an interesting request from Damian Foxe, stylist at FT How to Spend It.  He asked me if he could borrow a set of our Cassis Rose bed linen, telling me the plan was to photograph models in ethereal organza dresses lying on a mattress draped in bed linen. But this was not a normal fashion shoot.  It was to be photographed entirely underwater. "I have to warn you, it will get wet!", he cautioned.

So with one 20ft deep tank, 780,000 litres of water, one 5m high bed, 6 hours to set up, 8 hours to shoot, 1,468 photographs, 9 underwater crew, 7 underwater cameras, 53 seconds without drawing breath, 1,609m of hair extensions and 62 wet towels, here are the breathtaking results, as featured in FT How to Spend It this weekend.  Click on the last image to view behind the scenes footage of how this was done.
