Celebrating 10 beautiful years

Celebrating 10 beautiful years

Ageing gracefully is always something we have admired here at The Linen Works. Our enduring linens are celebrated for enhancing over time and, as we age as a business, we’d hope for our philosophy to continue to somewhat follow suit.

Some of you may or may not be familiar that this year marks a wonderful milestone for The Linen Works as we are thrilled to celebrate 10 cherished years in business; a decade of pared-back, timeless linen creations that lend themselves perfectly to a natural lived-in home and slowed pace of life.

Needless to say that we have kept a little quiet about our birthday so far, until earlier this month when we held a special luncheon to rejoice and reflect on how we came to be. Hosted in the stunning surroundings of Somerset House, we were joined by a handful of key press at the Salon at Spring Restaurant for a delicious 3-course lunch in one the prettiest of private dining areas in London.

Dressed with a simple, refined selection of blooms courtesy of South London florists Paul Thomas Flowers, the grand tablescape took centre stage in the conservatory-inspired space and was decorated with meticulously placed vases in an array of dainty sizes. Our crisp, muted Dove Grey linen napkins set the scene for a pared-down aesthetic for the lunch, with each place aptly complemented by unassuming white crockery and handmade lavender name tags that added a subtle dose of rustic charm.

Delicious autumnal starters from a seasonal-inspired menu were followed by a short talk from our very own Creative Director and Owner Larissa Cairns (below) who provided guests with a wonderful insight into the production of flax.

After main courses settled and our delectable white chocolate and coconut cake was cut, the afternoon was perfectly rounded off with a creative workshop to tempt florist enthusiasts. Orchestrated by Paul Thomas Flowers, guests delved into bunches and were invited to craft their own bouquet and pocket hole creations before taking away with our Dove Grey Shoe Bag which served as a special gift bag.

The afternoon, along with all of the wonderful comments we received on The Linen Works during the day, will remain very close to our hearts for many years to come. Thank you again to our lovely supporters, the press, for joining us for our memorable celebrations.
