Choose What You Pay Event

we choose the products
now you choose the price
On Thursday 16th January 2020, we launched this beautiful event.

We choose the products - now you choose the price...
We let you know where the pennies are going.

Only a few times a year we may hold a sale. We don’t have them more often because we've seen a pattern of constant discounting develop in our industry, one that we don't feel is sustainable. We want to support our makers by pricing in such way that values their craft and care. When we do have sales and discounts, it’s to give you a chance to treat yourself, to finally snap up that beautiful linen you've had your eye on. We also hope you'll keep shopping with us on days when we don't have a sale.

We don't plan on holding these sales regularly, but if we have good feedback, it could become an annual event, or maybe once every two years. Once the sale ends, the items will go back to their regular price.

This sale drew inspiration from a Radiohead album launch a few years back, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and US brand Everlane, who all let visitors choose what to pay.

We considered making it a "name your price" sale, but that got too confusing. We tried to simplify the concept as much as possible. Part of this, is the chance to explain what a mark-up means, and then the opportunity to give you a choice. The largest discount will be 50% off which covers the basic cost to produce the linens, but it is your choice to contribute in any way beyond that.

We have many styles but limited quantities. Hope will you find some lovely pieces for your linen cupboard.

Love,

Larissa
